Some of us can remember when Kodak, Blockbuster, Polaroid, Motorola, and Sears were household names. What happened? Kodak and Polaroid failed to embrace digital imaging. Blockbuster ignored the streaming model championed by Netflix. Sears lost out to competitors like Walmart by resisting online shopping trends, while Motorola clung to older technology and missed the smartphone revolution. These failures often stemmed from fear of disruption, lack of vision, and internal resistance to innovation.
